Day 160: Colors of the Wind

eee. the sky's been so good lately haha. PTL :)

i think something that’s always changing is the sky. no matter how long you look at it for, how many times you look at it during the day/week/month/year, it’s never the same. it may look SIMILAR to how it did in the past once or twice, but… nope, never the same :)

took this picture on my way home from chris’s around 8:40p-ish on waukegan, somewhere after willow.

btw, #nowplaying obsession – dcb. freaking love this song; never get sick of it.

these clouds remind me of the scene from Pocahantas where they’re singing Colors of the Wind. it reminds me of her flow-y hair and all the, well, colors of the wind… :) chyea.

today was a pretty chill day; didn’t really do anything productive on my part.. (besides going to church):
-went to church
-chris and i were supposed to take william (bae) to the city, but he said he wanted to get dropped off at Park Jun’s (so he could get a haircut, lol) and that he’d take the bus into the city or somethang like that
-went to chris’s and watched Inglorious Basterdz–twas ok.. i got distracted here and there cuz i was tired and hungry and sneezing. oh, and on facebook for a bit.
-also watched Kings of Comedy; freaking. it was hilarious. there’s this one bit that Steve Harvey does about rappers and how you always have to DO something there –

rapper: “CMON YALL, PUMP IT UP!”, “CMON YALL, RAISE YO HANDS UP!”, “CMON YALL, SCREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAMMMM!”
person there for concert: for what? i paid $38.50…YOU scream.

hahahahahahha. i started tearing cuz i couldn’t stop laughing. SO FREAKING FUNNY!

-then watched some bbt
-he cut up watermelon
-i ate pbj

then he decided we should call it an early night, so i left around 840p.

however, after being home for a little bit, one of my friends called and said that bunch of people were going to eSkape to bowl, so i decided to stop by and bowl. first game was horrendous, but the second game was alright :) oo, and i saw michelle yoon for the first time in a LONG time! she’s actually going to UIC in the fall and living in my EXACT OLD room!!! :) i’m so excited!

now, i’m tired. i’m going to be tired tomorrow at work…. >_> hopefully, i won’t be late! eek.

Day 139: Rain & Shine

craazy clouds today!

so, Jmal asked Christopher and I if we wanted to go to the Shedd because one of her friends from Michigan is in town, and I guess they wanted to go to the Shedd. we took different trains (with different lines), so they ended up at Ogilivie and Christopher and I ended up at Union. Jmal and Megan, her other friend that tagged along, waited for us for a little, but our train was delayed a little and then we had some crew-change right before we got to Union -_-” so it took us a while to get there.

Christopher and I ended up not going into the Shedd, at all… hahaha, we walked all the way there taking some detours because of the random rain shower, and then decided that we didn’t really want to pay $16 to go into the Shedd.. so, we walked around to the lake front-ish area by Adler and Christopher took some awesome pictures with his wide-angle of the city… man… i LOVE the city. i LOVE LOVE LOVE the city. i can’t wait to go to the city some more! gahhhhhh. i really wish i had a place out there… those condos right by museum campus would be MONEY.

then, we waited for the others to finish @ the Shedd, but Christopher realized that we weren’t even going to go back on the same train, so we decided to head back and get food, but we were walking/skipping (yes, skipping) a bit too slow, so we ended up having to just go straight back to Union.

(now, this is the best part)

we were walking up Madison when it started to rain a little bit, and so I flung my arms out, and I was like “RAIN MORE!” and, after a few seconds, IT STARTED TO RAIN MORE!!!!! I was SO flippin’ excited, but Christopher, on the other hand, was not excited at all… he went, “why, Connie, why???” it actually started raining pretty hard, so we had to take a little break under one of the huge buildings, but then right before we hit the bridge, we just ran for it! :D

we were running in the rain for a good while, and it was so so so SOOOOOOOO fun. it felt so.. freeing and just.. awesome.. I hope I can do that again sometime… I was really thankful that Christopher had a good attitude about it. I kinda felt bad because he had his camera gear with him in the camera bag, and I didn’t want it to get wet, but.. I think I needed it… :) Thank you, Christopher! you’re the best.. :)

afterwards, we got on the train & headed back home. we got some Chipotle, which we both agree wasn’t that great, and then came to my house and ate rainbow sherbet as we watched part of game 2 of the NBA Finals (Lakers v Celtics; YAY Celtics won :) 103-94) dang. this is an exciting series!

i would absolutely love (is there any word stronger than "love"?) to see this outside my window... so freeing.

if I could make a living from studying and researching the universe, I’d take that job…

Day 135: Clouds

clouds

i was driving down Arlington Heights Road and i saw clouds! haha. well, i took this picture because at the time, the clouds looked like they were about to pour down as if it was a huge wave. i actually kinda get scared when i see clouds like that. hahaha, like a teeny-tiny bit scared, because i think it’s actually going to crash down onto the earth like waves crash, but… they’re not going to :) haha

i used to think that streaks that those airplanes made in the sky were surfers on the top of the world actually surfing. haha, don’t laugh too hard or think i’m too dumb, please =) i thought the top of the world was an ocean, since the sky is blue :D
