3 of the people that i love most..
It’s pretty much safe to say that these three people in the picture–grams, pops and mums–raised me from the day I was born until now… I love them to death, and I’m SO incredibly thankful for each of them.
I practically lived with my grandma since I was a little little little toddler til I was about… 10? One incredible memory I have of my grams is when I was really sick… I think I had the flu? Well, I remember that I had a super-high fever for sure, but she stayed up with me alllllllll night, helping me keep my body cool. I remember laying on her lap in front of the bright tv in the dark living room, while she prayed and cried for me. I love her so so so so so so so much.
My mom and my dad. Seriously, one-of-a-kind parents… only by God’s grace was I born to these two peoples.
I have quite a few memories with my dad… but they were all from when I was <6? Basically, when I was pretty young… we’d go to the zoo, Six Flags (yes, we used to go just us two.. I don’t even remember riding anything.. but he took me anyways
), driving (he let me sit on his lap while we drove around the neighborhood when I was 4… hehe), and when he used to take me to my holiday plays =) Now, as I get older.. more of my memories with my dad is.. talking about God/church, listening to the wisdom that God’s given him, and talking about/watching sports.. I love my dad!
My mama. I love love love her! haha, I think I’m going to say “love” the most in this entry… anyways! She still treats me like a little girl… which I’m thankful for and I’m also kind of resentful for (hahaha). I feel so secure when I’m with her–like she’ll take care of me no matter what. I mean, she will, but… God’s going to call her Home one day, and yeah… I can’t keep depending on her, yakno? But… I realized she shows her love to me with cooking. She can cook almost… anything. and I really mean that… A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G.. (hahahaha that reminds me of that part in Anchorman when the women from the station are out on a dinner, and that girl tells Veronica Corningstone that Ron Burgundy will read “ANYTHING” that’s written on the teleprompter lolol). And… the most blessing part… is that, no matter how many times I’ve hurt her feelings and been mean to her and fought with her (and let me tell you… it’s too many times to count)… she wakes up the next morning and loves me no less than she did before we fought. EVERY FREAKING TIME… her love is the closest to Jesus’ love in my life… and I’m so thankful for that. I love my mama!!!
whoo, so this was a long entry… but I really do appreciate and love my family so much. They’ve been there for me through thick and thin. Always supporting me in my decisions… they’re not always happy, but… they’re always praying for me. gah. <3
p.s. i love my big sister.
