Day 181: Blessings and Screamings

eeek. finally trying to try and update my blog.. i think i’m almost a month behinddd!

the 181st day of my project 365 fell on July 18, 2010, the day after Annabelle’s birthday. since it was a sunday, i went to church in the morning, then CEC had a lunch-outing, so a bunch of us went out to golf mill to share some lunch and chill! it was the first time that Gratch came out to church since her hip-injury..it was great to see her again!

afterwards, a bunch of my class people and a couple other chingoos went to the new red mango that opened down the street from liquid fusion (competition, bum bum bummmmmm). it was my first time there! i had lots of fun!

afterwards, pastor Yang’s (Thomas and Julie’s pops!) ordination was later in the afternoon, and i had the privilege of witnessing this blessing ceremony! it was kind of really cool. there was this part of the ceremony where we all lay hands on the person in front of us, and it ultimately goes all the way up to pastor Yang.. and we prayed for him this way. it was cool cuz all of us were a part of the prayer for him body of Christ, indeed.

i had to actually kinda leave early because Alenna asked me to house sit for the fam earlier sunday morning i was excited because i haven’t house-sat for them in a long long time! i got to play w/ little Elijah and Timothy a bit before we put them to sleep..err, Alenna put them Timothy to sleep. i got to play w/ Elijah a bit more before his bed time. although for most of the time, he cried… BUT. as we were watching Sesame Street, he calmed down.. and he actually rested his head on my shoulder when i held him… omygosh, it melted my heart.

i asked Christopher to come house sit with me, but since i left early, he didn’t have a ride to PJ’s and Alenna’s, so he just went home. i was pretty bummed about it, but.. i shouldn’t have been.

i love the Park’s! you will surely be missed at Canaan, but we will be praying for you guys!! <3

Day 129: Chilly Willy + MCAT prep

First MCAT prep book!

drove Gcheng to O’hare bright & early! i’ve been waking up so early these days, it’s crazy. i love it though! i was maddddddd tired, though. i slept late the night before watching Valentine’s Day, and i’d only gotten about… 4 or 3 hours of sleep. but, i was ok driving. we got to the airport in like 20 minutes haha. i love 294! i was driving ~80mi/h the whole time. haha, but then.. i lost time on the way back cuz i took the wrong exit :/ took me nearly an hour to get home. =\ meh.

i got home, made myself some green tea & honey, watched some Big Bang Theory & fell asleep =\ i was late going to Alenna’s, but she still greeted me with a smile I hadn’t been to their house in SO long! got to see/kinda play with the boys =) SO CUUUUUUUTE. ugh, i can’t believe how big Elijah is already! and TIMOTHY.. oh gosh, so serene. haha

so, my ssangapeul was back for like… another few days… and it was ultra big today, bc i was so tired :/

i had a great talk with Alenna & i came back home, packed up a few things and went to barnes, where i purchased my very first MCAT prep book… they didn’t have much of a selection & i didn’t want to buy a really expensive one for my first one, so i bought this one. haha. it’s pretty informative? i mean, i haven’t read much of it yet, but the beginning just explains how the exam is and what’s in it, so yeah. well, it’s helped because.. i knew NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about this exam before i started reading this…. i just found out yesterday that it’s an electronic exam–you take it on the computer–and not on paper, like an ACT or SAT =\ boooo… i think i prefer paper? maybe not when it comes to essays, though.

any suggestions on good prep books for the MCAT??

honestly, call me a nerd, but…
i’m actually… kinda excited to start studying for the MCATs… cuz it’s something i really want to do.. well, not the MCAT, but go to med school & all that

Day 118: Coolest Stroller-Thing Ever

so, i actually got to church a little before it started today, and the park’s (minus pj) was chillin and then… i saw this thing! ITS SO AWESOME! you can put the baby in the front and then the toddler can stand/sit in the back!!!

mostly everything about today was pretty great… basically my whole class was at church… it was the first time in a LONG LONG LONG time that we had all been together… it was so great being with them so much random fun and laughs when we’re together can’t wait to hang out with you guys more. we went bowling @ eSkape! and it was fun, too! haven’t been to eSkape since.. summer, i think… wow =\ haha. we just hung out in the parking lot afterwards, which was also fun. hahaha
